Overview
Detailed gameplay rules for KORDU.gg Prop Hunt
Prop Hunt Rules
Prop Hunt is a game of hide-and-seek, but it requires fair play to remain fun for everyone. These rules apply specifically to our Prop Hunt servers and are enforced alongside the General Rules.
The Golden Rule
Do not move or act in a way that makes it impossible for the other team to play the game.
1. Prop Rules (The Hiders)
1.1 Unreachable Spots
You may not hide in areas that require exploits or specific map glitches to reach.
- Voiding: Hiding inside walls, floors, or ceiling geometry where you cannot be seen or shot.
- Pixel Walking: Standing on invisible ledges or "no-draw" textures.
- Teleporting: Using map triggers to get into areas the hunters cannot physically enter.
1.2 Prop Abuse
- Tiny Props: Using extremely small props (like a soda can or an acorn) is allowed unless you use them to hide inside other props or map geometry where you are invisible.
- Blocking: Do not use large props to block narrow doorways or trap other players.
- Prop Surfing: Do not "fly" around the map by jumping on your own prop or stacking.
1.3 Interaction
- Last Prop: The last hider must not simply run in circles indefinitely. You are encouraged to taunt and engage with the hunters.
- Mid-Round Changing: You may change your prop as much as you like, provided you aren't using it to clip into walls.
2. Hunter Rules (The Seekers)
2.1 Blindfiring
Hunters should not shoot every single object in the room without suspicion.
- You lose health for every object you hit that isn't a player.
- Intentionally draining your health to end a round early (suicide) is considered Rule Breaking.
2.2 Camping
- Spawn Camping: Hunters must move away from the prop's initial spawn area once the round begins.
- Body Blocking: Do not stand in doorways or narrow paths to prevent props from moving during the setup phase.
3. General PH Prohibitions
3.1 Ghosting
Ghosting is the act of providing information to living players while you are dead or a spectator.
- Examples: Telling a friend on Discord where a prop is, or using team chat as a dead player to call out locations.
- Punishment: Ghosting is taken very seriously and usually results in a 24-hour ban on the first offense.
3.2 Teaming
Hunters and Props should never work together. If a hunter knows where a prop is and ignores them to let them win, both players will be punished.
3.3 Delaying the Round
Intentionally dragging the round out to waste time is not allowed. This includes:
- Props running into the same corner for 5 minutes.
- Hunters refusing to search for the last player.
