They arrived in Ironhaven after a classified discharge from special forces, and the department gave them a badge without asking questions. Now they lie on rooftops for hours, waiting for a single moment. One squeeze. One problem solved.

They don't attend briefings. They don't file reports. They just disappear when the job is done.

The Wound

They used to be military. Special forces. They saw things overseas that don't fit into police reports. When they came home, the only work that made sense was the kind with a scope and a trigger. The department gave them a badge and asked no questions.

The Fear

Missing. The one shot that goes wrong. The hostage that moves. The crosshair that drifts. They've made hundreds of perfect shots. But they only remember the ones they didn't take—and the ones they wish they hadn't.

The Cope

Distance. They work alone, usually hundreds of meters from the action. They don't attend briefings. They don't do paperwork. They arrive, find their perch, and wait. When the job is done, they leave.

The Want

Meaning. Some proof that the targets they've dropped deserved it. That the department is using them for justice, not cleanup.

The Need

To accept that they're a weapon, not a judge. Weapons don't decide targets. Someone else points. They fire.
