SWAT Medic
The Paladin. I'll keep you alive—whether you like it or not.
SWAT Medic — "The Paladin"
Marcus "Doc" Chen. Former trauma surgeon. Current walking fortress of emergency medicine.
The Story
Marcus Chen was a trauma surgeon before he was SWAT. He saw what happened when officers went down in the field—the delay, the panic, the preventable deaths. So he traded the operating room for a bomb suit.
The armor isn't just protection. It's a mobile trauma center. He can reach wounded officers in kill zones where paramedics can't go. He can stabilize under fire. He can keep people alive until extraction.
The red and white isn't intimidation—it's a signal. "Don't worry. Help has arrived."
The Wound
Marcus Chen was a trauma surgeon before he was SWAT. He saw what happened when officers went down in the field—the delay, the panic, the preventable deaths. So he traded the operating room for a bomb suit.
The Fear
Being too late. Reaching someone and watching them die anyway. All that armor, all that training, and still not being enough.
The Cope
Stay moving. Stay ready. Every second counts in trauma. If he's always prepared, he'll never be too late. (He knows this isn't true. He does it anyway.)
The Want
To never lose another officer. To build a world where nobody bleeds out waiting for help.
The Need
To accept that he can't save everyone. That some wounds are too severe, some situations too chaotic. That trying his best is enough.
The Hook
An officer is down behind enemy lines. Heavy fire. No extraction possible. The SWAT Commander is asking for volunteers to go in. Doc is already suiting up.
