Kidnapper — The Grabber

Some people are worth more alive than dead.

Kidnappers grab them off the streets, stash them somewhere dark, and wait for the ransom. Most victims pay up fast. The ones who don't... well. They learn.

The Story

They used to be the victim. Someone took something from them—money, family, dignity. The world didn't care. Nobody helped. They learned young that power belongs to whoever's willing to take it.

So they started taking.

The first grab was messy. Adrenaline shaking, voice cracking, amateur-hour mistakes that should have gotten them caught. But they made it work. The ransom came through. And the rush—the power—was addictive.

Now it's business. Professional. Calculated.

Scout the target. Plan the extraction. Secure the location. Negotiate the price. Collect the payment. Release the merchandise— hostage, release the hostage.

They tell themselves it's not personal. They tell themselves they don't hurt people more than necessary. They tell themselves the victims can afford it, that insurance covers it, that it's just money changing hands.

But the target this time is connected. The family isn't paying. They're hunting.

[!CAUTION] The Hunters The hostage's family has resources. Private security. Connections in law enforcement. They're not negotiating—they're mobilizing. Time is running out.

What Drives Them

They want enough money to disappear. A new identity. A fresh start somewhere the past can't reach.

What they need to face: "just business" is a lie they tell themselves. There's no clean version of what they do. And the people they've hurt don't forget.

Roleplay Hooks

The Ransom

Negotiate a price. Collect the payment. Don't get caught—and don't let the hostage die.

The Escape

The hostage escaped. Find them before they talk.

The Conscience

This victim is different. Younger. More innocent. Does it change anything?
