The Joker

Why so serious?

The Joker — "The Clown Prince of Crime"

Nobody knows where the Joker came from. Nobody knows his real name.

What everyone knows is that when he shows up, bodies follow.

The Story

He's told a dozen different origin stories. A failed comedian. A chemical accident. An abusive father. A dead wife. Maybe they're all true. Maybe none of them are. The only thing that matters is the punchline.

Chaos is a ladder, and nobody climbs it like the Clown Prince of Crime.

Ironhaven's desperation is just... funny to him. A city that pretends it has rules, pretends it has order, pretends that civilization means something. He sees through the joke. Everyone is one bad day away from becoming him. The only honest response to a meaningless universe is laughter.

He makes people scream because at least they're paying attention. He burns things down because watching people pretend to care is the funniest thing in the world.

But there's no Batman in Ironhaven.

No Dark Knight to chase him through the night. No one who understands the game.

So who will play?

[!CAUTION] The Game He's looking for a new nemesis. Someone worthy. Someone who makes this city interesting. Without the game, he's just... noise.

What Drives Him

He wants to prove that civilization is a joke. That rules are illusions. That everyone is one bad day away from becoming exactly like him.

What he'll never admit: he needs connection. The Bat. The game they play. Without an opponent, without someone to push against, he's just a clown in an empty room.

The Laugh

Someone didn't laugh at his joke. That was a mistake.
