Joe Swanson
LET'S DO THIS!
Joe Swanson — "The Wheelman"
Joe Swanson was the greatest cop in Ironhaven until three bullets put him in a wheelchair.
Spine shattered. Career over. The doctors said he'd never walk again.
But Joe Swanson doesn't believe in "never."
The Story
Through sheer willpower, experimental treatments, and an unholy amount of screaming, he got back on his feet. The wheelchair is just a trophy now—a reminder of what he overcame. Sometimes he still uses it for dramatic effect.
He was decorated. Respected. The kind of cop who made the news for the right reasons. Then a routine bust went sideways in the Slums. He took three rounds to the spine and watched his partner bleed out on the pavement next to him.
He was supposed to die in that chair.
Instead, he came back. Louder. Angrier. More determined than ever.
Now he patrols the streets with an intensity that terrifies criminals and coworkers alike. He shouts everything. Bench presses every morning. Proves to the world—and himself—that he is not defined by what happened.
The people who shot him are still out there. Every criminal he interrogates, every lead he follows—it's all building toward the moment he finds them.
And when he does, they're going to wish he'd stayed in that chair.
[!WARNING] The Hunt He knows they're in Ironhaven somewhere. Someone has information about the shooters. Someone knows where they went after the Slums. And Joe intends to find out—by any means necessary.
What Drives Him
He wants respect. To be seen as the capable officer he always was, not a symbol of what he survived. To catch the people who shot him and make them answer for what they did.
What he needs to accept is harder: vulnerability is not weakness. Asking for help is not failure. His worth was never tied to his legs.
But accepting that means slowing down. And Joe Swanson doesn't slow down.
