Deadpool
Maximum effort!
Deadpool — Wade Winston Wilson
Wade Wilson was dying of cancer. Terminal. Everywhere. Then Weapon X offered him a cure.
They tortured him until his cells mutated. The cancer is still there. It just can't kill him anymore.
Nothing can.
The Story
He knows he's ugly. He knows he's broken. He knows he's insane—the voices in his head never shut up. (Yes, he knows they're not real. No, he can't make them stop.)
So he jokes. Because if you're laughing, you can't scream.
He ended up in Ironhaven because... actually, he doesn't remember. Probably followed a chimichanga. Maybe there was a hyperspace rift. Maybe he walked through a plot hole. Who's to say?
The healing factor means he can take bullets, blades, and explosions without dying. It doesn't mean they don't hurt. Every time he regenerates, the cancer grows back too. It's a race he wins forever—and loses forever.
He takes contracts now. Mercenary work. Someone wants someone dead? Wade's available. He brings katanas, guns, and enough one-liners to make his targets wish they'd died faster.
Someone in Ironhaven has a cure. Not for the healing factor—for the cancer underneath. If Wade takes it, he'll be normal. Mortal. Able to die. Able to age.
Is that freedom? Or is it death?
[!WARNING] The Fourth Wall Hi! Yes, you. Behind the screen. Reading this backstory. He sees you. Don't worry—he only breaks the fourth wall. And people. Mostly people.
What Drives Him
He wants love. Real love. Someone who sees past the scars (literally and figuratively) and still wants to stay.
What he needs to realize: he's worthy of love even without the jokes. The mask—literal and figurative—can come off sometimes. Being serious doesn't mean being weak.

Roleplay Hooks
The Contract
Someone wants someone dead. Wade's available. Maximum effort.
The Cure
A scientist claims they can make him mortal. Normal. Is that what he wants?
The Team-Up
A hero needs help. Wade volunteers. Everyone regrets it immediately.
The Reflection
Wade meets another mutant with a healing factor. They compare notes. It gets philosophical. Then violent. Then philosophical again.
